Jackie Chrzan, Pins Manager
Jackie was born and raised on Drummond Island and graduated from DeTour High School. She then went to Germany where she worked at a military distribution center. There she handled import/export invoicing, inventories and distribution paperwork. After returning to the states, Jackie worked for a New York based commercial real estate corporation as an assistant property manager where she showed buildings, hired contractors and handled maintenance. In 2010, Jackie started working at Pins Bar & Grill in food preparation and transitioned into managing there two years later. Since then, she has been responsible for all facets of Pins.
Marci Goble, Lodge Manager
Marci Goble began her employment with Drummond Island Resort in May of 2005 in the Real Estate department. In 2010 Marci became a Front Desk Clerk, and then in 2015 Marci expanded her knowledge and responsibilities and became the Front Desk Manager. Marci’s responsibilities include customer relations, scheduling, daily audit reports, and hiring/training of new employees.
Amy Hoffman, Director of Sales and Marketing
Amy Hoffman attended Bowling Green State University and holds a business degree. After 10 years working in the graphics art and printing field, Amy began her employment with Drummond Island Resort & Conference Center in 1999 as an assistant marketing associate and expanded her responsibilities to group sales before advancing into the position of Director of Sales and Marketing in 2007. Amy oversees all group business at the resort.
Craig Hoffman, Golf Course Superintendent
Craig Hoffman is the Golf Course Superintendent and holds a turf grass management degree from Michigan State University. In addition to over thirty years of golf course maintenance Craig has been appointed to numerous governmental boards in this capacity. As an avid environmental steward, Craig has implemented programs to enhance golf properties with certifications from the MSU Environmental Stewardship program as well as The National Audubon Society. Craig’s commitment to golf course excellence is unyielding. Craig has worked in every facet of golf course maintenance and has been a proud member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association for several years.
Frank Jones, Bayside Chef
Chef Frank Jones brings over thirty years of Culinary Arts expertise to Drummond Island Resort. He specializes in a wide range of food service from fine dining, casual to catering for the many folks that come to the resort for their special occasion. Chef’s features include ethnic wine dinners, weekly chef tastings and an ever changing menu that are widely popular on the island for both locals and tourists. He and his staff believe in quality and providing the freshest ingredients possible. Chef enjoys making everything from scratch while sourcing local & Michigan items whenever possible. Fresh fish from Lake Huron, fresh herbs from Drummond Island and even locally produced Maple Syrup are some of his recipe staples. Special requests are welcome as Chef’s goal is to provide each guest with the dining experience they desire.
Keli Kelly, Director of Golf
The Director of Golf at The Drummond Island Resort is Keli Kelly. Keli joined the staff at The Rock golf course in 2007. Keli is a graduate of The University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with emphasis on Management. Keli’s approach to teaching is to tailor lessons to fit each student. She stresses physical flexibility, strong mental approach and practice with a purpose to improve all areas of each individual’s swing. Her goal is to make you a better player. By eliminating swing flaws she can keep the student interested in the game through constant improvement. While playing amateur golf at both the high school and college levels, Keli was drawn to the tradition of the game of golf as well as the values it affords. She is using both the experience and knowledge she has gained to enhance her position as golf instructor at The Rock as well as head coach of the Detour High School girl’s golf team.
